Love, Life and …..
It
has been 5 months since your passing, and I really miss you so much. So much has changed in our lives, from being
us – The mean team,
the 3 musketeers, it is now just me and Salomé, It has really been an amazing journey of
growth for the two of us, But for me it
has been the hardest, waking up and knowing that you are not next to me. You know that there are days that go by and I
can handle it, but then whenever your angelversary comes around, something
happens that one can not sit down and remember or think about it. This December when it was your 5 month
angelversary, we could sit and think about it….. But you always make sure that
it has something good in it as well.
Like this one was our 1st month staying in our new place,
remembering how we ate pizza on the floor, before all the furniture came the
next day
And
what is pizza without Coke…. And moving is hard work. I still remember the list we wrote that day
on how we would make sure that the two of us – mother and daughter would work
together. Here
Salomé is with one of
her best friends – Bianca. One thing I am so thankful for is that since
staying here, I have always had kids in and out of the house. It is so special.
You
have really given me so much to be thankful for, a wonderful 15 year old
daughter, someone who has so much love to give to the world. And I have never told you this, but
thank-you. Thank-You for never giving up
on her dream, ever since she was 10 years old she wanted to study agriculture,
and she wanted to go a specific school, I remember that afternoon, you bought
data, so that the 2 of you could goggle schools in the area, the
And then ofcourse these two
amazing teachers, that totally understood Salomé,
And just knowing that I could pick up the phone and send a message or call
Lyndall was super amazing. Thank you for
the best difference two amazing teachers with a heart of gold could make to my
angel.
This
has really been a year filled with ups and down, tears and laughter. A year filled with amazing memories. Our last holiday was the best holiday ever,
it was strange, walking on the beach, just me and Salomé, but we spoke about you, and how the two
of us met, what to look for in a guy, and how a man should treat a woman. Salomé
truelly loves you, and trust me when she is ready to look for love, she will be
looking for someone like you…. She will not just accept anyone in her life,
Dankie my engel vir elke lag, elke traan en elke memory wat ons saam gebou het hierdie afgelope 22 jaar. Ek weet jy was moeg baklei, maar ek weet jy het baklei tot op die laaste minuut, dankie. Dankie vir alles wat jy vir ons gedoen het, En alles wat jy doen van die hemel af. Ek mis jou ongelooflik baie, daar is nog so baie wat ek vir jou wil sê, so veel wat ons nog mos saam doen, Maar nou is dit vir my so moelik om alles alleen te doen. Daai eerste onsie daai Sondag na jou dood, net ek en sussie…. Dit was ‘n familie tradisie wat ons begin het, net sommer so…. En glo my ons gaan nie daarmee stop nie. Dankie vir elke tradisie wat ons as ‘n gesin begin het, ek sal daarmee aan gaan, ons Saterdae braai aande… Ons onsies op ‘n Sondag voor sussie op die bus klim. Om haar te salf en seen voor sy op daai bus klim. Dankie my lief dat jy haar geleer om te braai en om ‘n mean potjie te maak en dat sy lekker kan visvang ... sy sal eendag haar man ‘n ding of twee kan wys. Jy is die beste pa, jy het vir haar so veel geleer, dankie. Dankie vir al jou liefde en omgee. Jy is een amazing mens. I love you to the moon and back…..
